I wrote about collecting Frankoma a few months ago. (didn’t mean to create all the new collectors/competitors that I’m now bidding against on eBay) It’s no secret that I enjoy scoring a piece of Frankoma pottery occasionally, the thrill of the hunt and all, it’s still cheap and usually pretty easy to find.

While most people think of Frankoma pottery as being produced in the popular colors of Prairie Green and Desert Gold, Frankoma produced many items in Woodland Moss, Brown Satin, Peach Glow, Clay Blue, Red Bud, Sunflower Yellow, Robin Egg blue and other colors. John Frank founded Frankoma Pottery in 1933, when he was still an art professor at the University of Oklahoma.
